Dino Ciccarelli

  • Sport: Hockey
  • Decade Inducted: 00s

A hard-nosed player with a deft scoring touch, Dino Ciccarelli lasted for nearly two decades in the rough-and-tumble NHL, notching 608 goals along the way.

Dino Ciccarelli was never the biggest player on the ice during his 19 years in the National Hockey League. He was consistently, however, one of the best players on the ice.

In his nearly two decades of NHL service, Ciccarelli played for five teams, most notably the Minnesota North Stars. Upon his retirement, he was the 11th all-time leading goal scorer, with 608, and ranked 28th with an even 1,200 points. He twice posted more than 50 goals in a season and also twice topped the 100-point mark.

Ciccarelli’s 608 career NHL goals are the most goals scored by a draft-eligible player who was not drafted by an NHL team.

He was elected to the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame in 2000 and the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2010.
