The National Italian American Hall of Fame is pleased to participate in this year’s Festa Italiana in Chicago’s Historic Little Italy neighborhood. The Festa runs from August 22-25, 2013 and the Hall of Fame will be extending its museum hours during the festival on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 12-7 pm, and on Sunday from 12-6 pm.
During each day of the festival, Hall of Fame visitors will have the chance to enter giveaways to win several different prizes including autographed books, shirts, jackets, etc. Admission to the museum during Festa Italiana will be $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, and students/children under 16, accompanied by an adult, will be free.
Also in celebration of the NIASHF and Festa Italiana, WGN Radio Personalities Lou Manfredini and Garry Meier will be broadcasting their shows live from the Hall of Fame.
Stop in during the Festa to say hello and tour our galleries and memorabilia collections. DiMaggio, Marino, Andretti, Montana, Couples, Biondi, Lombardi, Piazza, LaMotta, to name but a few, are all in the Hall. Besides, where else will you see Olympic Gold Medals, World Championship Boxing Belts, Heisman and World Series Championship Trophies, Indy Race Cars or a Blood Stained Hockey Jersey from an Olympic win that will forever be deemed – a miracle!
