The Stairway of Fame

Everyone has personal heroes, special people who have made a powerful impact on your life and who have left a lasting impression. Those people may include grandparents, parents, spouses and children. A Pietra is a way to honor those extraordinary heroes who have enriched your life and made your world better.
At the very heart of the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame is the Stairway of Fame. This is the place where your family is honored. Accessible by all floors, the Stairway of Fame is truly breathtaking. It features dramatic lighting from an overhead skylight and winds upward while providing a stunning view of Chicago.
The Pietra is a large, beautiful limestone block that will be permanently engraved and displayed to honor these people. This limestone will then be affixed to the wall of the Stairway of Fame in the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame.
In addition to your tribute, your tax-deductible contribution will help support the NIASHF in the retirement of its mortgage and in our day-to-day operations. Your accolade will remain there for the enjoyment of future generations.

The Specifications

The Pietra is a 16" x 16" sheet of beautiful limestone. This same limestone graces the front of the magnificent NIASHF building. There is wall space for only a limited number of Pietras, and they are offered on a first-come
